I would like to start out by saying "Thanks" to everyone who stopped by our first outdoor sale of the year last Saturday. It was great, with many golfers enjoying our special 50% OFF pricing, not to mention a better weather day than forecasted!! We will have another outdoor sale in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. We also plan on having a Memorial Day Sale next weekend on all inventory throughout the shop. It will run from Thursday, May 27th thru Monday, May 31st and feature 20% OFF storewide, so come check it out and save some $$$.
Tournament news for the week is that we are almost ready to begin the First Annual 2 Person Match Play Shootout. We need only (2) more teams and we will be set to start matches with (32) teams in four brackets. The "win and advance, lose and you're out" format should make for some exciting match play action. Team Captains will be notified of their first round opponents as soon as the draw is complete.
Also on the tournament front is the KOFI Charity Scramble, coming up Sunday, June 13th. Get your team entered to enjoy this annual, fun event. Entry forms are throughout the clubhouse and online at www.golfbuffalohill.com under the tournament link.
The Friday Night Mixers have begun for the season. The next events are in June on the 11th & 25th. Great fun with a different format for each event. Get your partner and call the Pro Shop to sign up the week prior to each date.
The annual BHGC Junior Clinics are fast approaching on June 15th thru 24th. This is a must for your junior golfer aged 6 thru 17. Classes are geared for both the beginner and experienced player. Registration forms are available in the clubhouse or at the BHGC website. Remember the clinics feature instruction, contests with trophies for the winners, tee shirts and a BBQ on the final day all for only $25 per junior!!
The 2010 BHGC Club Championships are June 26th & 27th, so mark your calendars now to participate in the first "stroke play" event of the year. Test your skills against other BHGC members with a similar handicap. Who knows this may be your year to become the "club champion" of your flight! Entry forms available online now and very soon in the clubhouse!
Tip of the Week:
Putt better by first focusing on the pace of your putts and then the line. Putting is about pace and line, but you can't control the line, or break of a putt, without the pace being correct. Practice putting on a straight, level putt from 10' then 20' then 30', all with the intent of getting the ball in a 18" circle around the hole. If you can judge the pace correctly it will make all putts both straight and uneven much easier. Work on your pace by having light grip pressure and a smooth stroke. Roll the ball, don't hit it, and your pace will be good!!
See you on the course,

This week's congratulations go to Brad Roy. Brad is the winner of this week's free lunch, compliments of Buffalo Hill. Brad was up for lunch and dropped his business card along with his E Mail address in the jar and now he is the winner of a free lunch. WAY TO GO BRAD! That's all you have to do to be a winner, or just leave your business card on the table and your waitress will deposit it for you.
The Ladies League players (and everyone else who would like to participate) are in for another treat this week. This Tuesday Jake will be at the "Carving Station" serving you the oven roasted beef, ham & turkey deli sandwiches along with some of those outstanding salads he always seems to come up with. Sounds very inviting to me, so come on in after your round of golf and let us do the cooking for you. You owe it to yourself. For
the men, this Thursday it will be "Steak & Spaghetti" served with a tossed salad, garlic toast & watermelon all for a mere $13.00. You can't cook at home for this price. Remember the food service is yours to enjoy, so make it a point to join your teammates before or after your round of golf and have a great meal. Just as last year, there will be food service available before and after league, and it is open to the PUBLIC. Our regular menu is available until 7:30 P.M., after that you're welcome to enjoy the salad bar and the sandwich buffet on Tuesday or the steak BBQ on Thursday. YOU DO
NOT HAVE TO BE A LEAGUE PLAYER TO ENJOY A GREAT MEAL. SO PLEASE COME ON UP TO BUFFALO HILL AND JOIN IN THE FUN AND HAVE A GREAT MEAL.
