Good morning!
I hope today is a sign of what is ahead for the season. What a beautiful morning with blue sky and sunshine!
As you know, the annual meeting is Wednesday, April 21, at 6:00, here at the clubhouse. In addition to the regular committee reports and election of directors, the agenda consists of two major presentations; the driving range and and the Flathead Community Foundation. We expect the meeting to run about 2 hours if everything runs according to schedule. In order to provide as much information to our membership prior to the meeting, we have created a display area on the main floor of the clubhouse with the driving range information
that will be discussed at the meeting. In addition, we have also included information related to our affiliation with the Flathead Community Foundation.
Finally, if you plan to attend the meeting, we encourage you to pick up an audited financial statement in the main office for your review. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me - I'm happy to discuss any questions that you may have. I would also be happy to provide you with detailed information not included in an audited financial statement. Anything that we can take care of prior to the annual meeting will allow more time to dedicate to the discussion of the other two major
presentations.

Have a fabulous week!

Greens - If you've played golf this year, you have seen that the greens came through the winter in good shape. Mowing, rain, and sunshine will continue to make them better!
Fairways - We mowed fairways for the first time on April 1, which is about 3 weeks ahead of last year!
Seed in here! - We'll begin seeding ice damaged areas in the fairways immediately. Thank your for your patience.
Irrigation - We turned on the irrigation for the season, and as always, we have many breaks on both courses. Thank you to all our members for calling in leaks and breaks when you see them. We appreciate your eyes and ears!
Rain helps! - As much as we don't like it at times, we need it for a healthy golf course! Now for a little sunshine to put on the green touch!

Thanks to everyone for a great start to the new golf season. It is good to see everyone excited about playing and working on their game after the winter layoff!
This week's competition news is that the entry forms for the Flathead Valley 2 Person Match Play Shootout are now available. The forms are posted throughout the clubhouse, so be sure and get your partner and get entered. Remember the field is limited to the first 64 paid teams!!
Also the Free Ladies Clinics will be on April 14th, 21st & 28th. Open to all ladies from beginners to experienced players. We will begin at 6:00pm each evening and cover a different part of the game each week. No registration is necessary, so come on out and have some fun and start your year off right with a tune-up for your game.
As a reminder, all of the entry forms for the entire 2010 season will be on the web at the BHGC website very soon, go to www.golfbuffalohill.com and click on the tournament link to print them off. We are looking forward to an excellent year of fun, spirited competition.
We have been very busy in the Pro Shop trying to keep up with the UPS and Fed Ex trucks that are bringing in new merchandise daily. I know I tell you each week to come in and look it over, but it will be worth your time and money to do so. You will see some awesome gear and equipment and at great prices!!
Good job on remembering to now call at 8:00am for your tee times. We have been trying to tee off at 8:00am as well, but the frost has delayed us some mornings. Oh well it will be warmer before we know it!!
Tip of the week:
Choose the right club when more often by using the club that will get your ball five yards past the target when you hit it well. We don't always hit every shot correctly, thus we come up short many times. So by taking a club that will get us past the hole, we will end up closer even when we miss hit the ball.
See you on the course,
Dave, Marlin & Mike

Congratulations go to Roy Beekman. Roy is this week's winner of the free lunch, compliments of Buffalo Hill. Roy was up for lunch and dropped his business card along with his E Mail address in the jar and now he is the winner of a free lunch. WAY TO GO ROY! That's all you have to do to be a winner, or just leave your business card on the table and your waitress will deposit it for you.
As you all know, the selections of draft beer are rotated each month. During the month of April, "Black Star" which is locally brewed will be the featured tap beer for the month. Many of you remember the Black Star label before it was discontinued so I'm sure you will be anxious to enjoy a frosty glass or pitcher of the local brew now that it has been revived. As always, Michelob, Bud Light & Fat Tire are also available. A cool brew will go great with the "Putter Fries" or "Cajun Chicken Wings" while watching a game or a golf
tournament on the big screen TV's. Make Buffalo Hill your place to watch Butler vs.. Duke on Monday night & then there is the Masters starting on Thursday.
Don't forget "HAPPY HOUR" is also being offered again this year. So remember every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday, Happy Hour will be from 5 PM -7 PM. Domestic Drafts will be $1.00, $5.00 Domestic Pitchers, $2.00 Domestic Beer & Well Drinks.
