Good morning!

As I gaze outside at the beautiful sunshine on this cool, crisp, November 2 morning, I am convincingly reminded that we really don't have any control over mother nature - and we shouldn't.  However, it sure would be nice to see the weather pattern SOMEWHAT predictable!  Jon and the crew worked exhaustively last week in the ice cold snow and rain in order to get the covers on before winter blesses our turf with a good snow cover (hold the ice please!).  No doubt the entire crew would have loved the weather predicted for this week!

With the course now closed for the season, we're looking forward to next year with great enthusiasm and excitement.  We have a long list of projects to accomplish in order to get started in the spring, and we know our members love to see the golf course evolve and improve!

Be sure to vote YES to the golf course lease when you cast your ballot in tomorrow's election.  Buffalo Hill Golf Course has evolved over the past 50 years into a significant economic contributor to the Flathead Valley.  It truly is an important asset to our community, and through the investment of financial, volunteer, and other important resources by the Kalispell Golf Association, Buffalo Hill remains the best golf course in the Flathead Valley!   Best of all, this is achieved without any taxpayer dollars, the entire operating and capital budget at Buffalo Hill is funded by revenues derived by operations at Buffalo Hill.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call, or stop by for a visit!

Steve Dunfee, General Manager

From the Golf Course

Neither Wind, Nor Rain, Nor Sleet - The weather forecast doesn't look promising, but we will be trying to cover the greens Monday and Tuesday.  We will persevere!

Wow! - During the budget process for next year, a cart path on #18 is planned, and so we went ahead and cut the sod from the new path to use it along the path on #17 saving at least $1,000 in sod costs.

Finale? - After the covers are installed, we typically close that week.  So this looks like week will be the end of a great season.  Thank you for all your support and kind words of encouragement!
