I want to start out by saying THANK YOU to all of our tournament players and sponsors who made our last two events of the year such a great success!! Both the Dick Seddon Memorial Scramble and the Prostate Cancer Awareness Scramble had excellent turnouts, great golf and were able to raise funds for worthy causes!!
On the merchandise scene the Pro Shop has just started the "Prices are FALLing" sale. This means 35% OFF of all remaining in-stock items, with the exception of golf balls which are 25% OFF. What a great time to pick up on some golf gear that you have been thinking about. Selection is still pretty good, so come check it out.
Thanks for your understanding during our aerification process on the greens. While their condition makes putting more of a challenge, it is a necessary step to get the beautiful greens we enjoy for the entire golf season.
For all of you mixer players, don't forget the annual tradition of the "Backwards Scotchball" on Sunday, October 4th. You have not seen the Cameron 9 at it's hardest until you have played it backwards in a scotchball format. Great fun for $20 a couple which includes a burger BBQ after the round. Call the Pro Shop to reserve your tee time. Times will run from 10:00am to Noon. Note: Due to the event the Cameron 9 will be closed to normal play until 2:30pm on Sunday the 4th.
Tip of the week:
Fall golf means many things, like frost delays, leaves and cold, tight muscles. To get the most out of your fall golf, remember to be prepared. First of all dress in layers so you can be warm to start and then shed clothing to adjust to the warm midday temperatures. Next, arrive early for your round so you can stretch out and warm up properly, cold weather makes for easily torn muscles, which are no fun. Lastly, think of the outside temperature and if there is frost on the ground. If there is frost avoid walking or driving on any turf grass as it will damage it very easily. We will allow play as soon as conditions are safe.
See you on the course,

This week's congratulations go to Tara Tucker. Tara is this week's winner of the FREE lunch at Buffalo Hill. Tara was up for lunch and dropped her business card along with her E Mail address in the jar and now she is the winner of a free lunch. WAY TO GO TARA! That's all you have to do to be a winner, or just leave your business card on the table and your waitress will deposit it for you.
Many thanks go out to all of you that played in and supported the Prostate Awareness Tournament that was held at Buffalo Hill this past Sunday. What a good time was had by all and what a great cause it supported. Don't forget this coming Sunday, Oct. 4th, is "Play the Course Backwards". For those of you that have played in past years you know what a great time this is and for those of you that haven't played before, come on up and join in on the fun. There will be a burger BBQ included in your entry fee so that alone will make it well worth your while.
A special "THANK YOU" goes out to all of you for the support you gave the Beverage Cart this summer. Once again record sales were recorded for the summer. We're sorry to say but it is time to put the cart away for the winter. You can still pick up your favorite beverage or snack at the clubhouse or the Half-Way-House.
As I mentioned last week, don't forget that Christmas will be here before we know it so if you haven't made arrangements for your Christmas Party, luncheon or holiday get together give BJ a call and reserve a date for your special event. The dates are filling up fast so make a call this week before it's too late.
As always we're looking forward to seeing you at Buffalo Hill,
